The National Kidney Foundation of Illinois is dedicated to standing with every patient and family in Illinois affected by kidney disease. Our mission is urgent, and we attack it on all fronts: through research, patient services, education, and advocacy.
To ensure our community understands our work and strategy, our organization maintains full transparency with you, our supporters, about how we direct your gifts.

OUR IMPACT

We helped communities all across Illinois learn more about kidney donation, and take a proactive approach to transplantation through our participation in:
we invested $1.4 Million in programs and services
We brought just over 4,000
patients, family members, and medical practitioners together to participate in a massive health and advocacy demonstration.

WE brought new young investigators into the field, and awarded
a new grant researching gene therapy
We tested nearly 3,500 Illinois residents for common kidney disease risk factors, and through our education initiatives, we connected with more than 70,000 patients, families and caretakers via seminars, lectures, and webinars.
Our KidneyMobile® program provided nearly 60 free kidney disease prevention screenings in every corner of Illinois.
70% of the screened participants had at least one abnormal test result, and more than 45% were immediately referred to a physician or health center.
