about us
determined to make a difference
CREATING HEALTHY COMMUNITIES
The National Kidney Foundation of Illinois works closely with community leaders, healthcare professionals, and civic-minded corporate partners to improve the lives of patients and families affected by kidney disease.
No organization supports kidney disease patients like we do. We provide patients access to resources and information, host numerous educational events, support innovative research, advocate for improvements in healthcare policy, and provide free kidney health screenings all across the state of Illinois.
our story
Today, the NKFI serves more than 60,000 patients annually, but we started simply: with a promise.
RESPONSIBLE STRATEGY
Since our launch in 1949, the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois has raised millions of dollars in support of scientific research and patient services. As critical as raising money is, what we do with it is just as important.

We commit to funding programs thoughtfully and critically, and ensure that our supporters can easily review our financial strategy and reports.
