The National Kidney Foundation of Illinois (NKFI) will host its 23rd annual Walk for Kidneys on Sunday, June 12, at Diversey Harbor, picnic grove 8, between the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum and North Pond. The 3-mile Walk for Kidneys is open to all those willing to walk strong for kidney health and requires no registration fee. Registration begins at 9 a.m., and the walk steps off at 10 a.m. Participants will enjoy kids’ activities, raffle prizes and prizes. Food trucks will be on site and donating a portion of event sales to NKFI. To ensure safety for immunocompromised individuals, participants will be released on the walk route in waves, and masks are encouraged at the event.
