All transplant candidates, recipients and their families are invited to the next meeting of Organ Transplant Support, Inc. on Friday, August 2, 2019, from 6-8pm. This meeting will feature a presentation about TWENTY THINGS YOUR TRANSPLANT DOCTOR WON'T TELL YOU.
Our speaker for this meeting will be OTS member and kidney recipient Dan Danko. Dan will discuss how an organ transplant can affect personal relationships and emotional health. He will offer tips for organizing transplant paperwork. He will also share observations and insights into ways to improve the personal healthcare experience. Dan will conclude with comments on a frequently overlooked topic, the spiritual aspects of transplantation.
Dan Danko received a kidney transplant in 2006, and the kidney was donated by his wife. Both Dan and Marilyn have three grown children and two grandchildren, and they stay active in their hometown of Downers Grove. Dan is a retired ComEd engineer.
This meeting is free and is open to the public.
