Dr. Ashley Suah, MD is a Transplant Surgeon at University of Chicago Medicine, who also happens to have a solitary kidney herself! Her unique experience is what fuels her dedication to raising awareness about kidney disease, which she believes remains under recognized as a public health crisis. Seeing the profound impact kidney disease imposes on patient lives, she knows just how important it is to help fund critical research, promote awareness, and ultimately save lives.

"Together, we can bring hope to those affected by kidney disease and ensure everyone has the opportunity for a brighter future."

Dr. Suah will be running in the Chicago Marathon with #TeamKidneyCHI not just for her own health, but also for the health of all her patients & all those on the transplant waiting list.
