Monica Fox is the Senior Director of Outreach and Government Relations at the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois and one of the hosts of The Journey Continues Podcast. She is also a kidney transplant recipient who spent 3 years on dialysis after her sudden diagnosis of kidney failure. That life changing event forced her to retire from her 25-year career as a medical administrator and volunteer as an ambassador and advocate for chronic kidney disease, organ donation and a transplant life coach.
Monica serves on the Advisory Council for Gift of Hope Organ, Eye and Tissue Donor Network. Monica is a member of South Suburban Chicago (IL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. She is also an Associate member of the South Suburban Chicago Chapter of Jack and Jill of America.
Monica has been honored with the Gift of Hope Lifesaving Partners Award, the Renal Network ESRD Network 10 Robert Felter Memorial Award, and the Xi Mu Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Phenomenal Women Award, the NKF and CareDX Kidney Transplant Champion Award and the 2023 NANI Legacy Award.
