food for thought
creating healthy bodies and healthy lives
The Illinois Council on Renal Nutrition Clinical Meeting is day-long summit designed for dietitians and renal nutritionists. This spirited, engaging gathering places its focus squarely on the role nutrition plays in treating kidney disease, and affords attendees the opportunity to hear news in treatment practices, meet exhibitors, and connect with experts in the field.
The event kicks off with a series of educational presentations. Afterwards, participants will plot the future of the council in an administrative session before concluding the day with a series of panel discussions. Previous ICRN topics have included:
-
Updates on nutritional guidelines and your practice
-
Coordinating nutritional care between dialysis and a transplant
-
Medical nutrition therapy
-
Treatment options
-
Nutrition based research
-
Medical ethics in relation to nutrition
The ICRN Clinical Meeting offers continuing education credits. The exact number of credits will be announced once they are approved.
