JOB DESCRIPTION: KidneyMobile® Coordinator Consultant
(Contract; 37.5 hours/week)

Position Overview:
The KidneyMobile® Coordinator Consultant is a contract position and plays a vital role on the KidneyMobile® team and reports directly to the Senior KidneyMobile® Manager. This position is responsible for supporting the Senior KidneyMobile® Manager with the logistics of the KidneyMobile® screening program, including coordinating and scheduling events, supporting marketing initiatives, and preparing evaluation reports.

The KidneyMobile® travels throughout Illinois, bringing vital health services directly to communities across the state. At each event, participants can receive a range of free, comprehensive medical screenings and have the opportunity to review their results with a trained medical professional on-site.

Core Responsibilities:

Coordinate screening dates and locations by confirming with venue contacts and updating the shared calendar and NKFI website upon approval. Maintain an up-to-date Excel spreadsheet of all scheduled screenings.

Support the coordination of screening logistics in partnership with the Senior KidneyMobile®, including volunteer recruitment and collaborating on marketing and outreach initiatives.

Following screenings, coordinate the distribution of summary reports to stakeholder partners and appreciation letters to volunteers.

Monitor and maintain an inventory list for KidneyMobile® screening supplies and materials.

Assist the Senior KidneyMobile® Manager in preparing and submitting quarterly progress reports and any additional reporting requested by funding partner(s).

Support the Senior KidneyMobile® Manager during screening events, which may include Saturdays and overnight travel.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-
Strong organizational and prioritization skills; rigorous attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and adhere to strict deadlines.

Skilled in handling sensitive information with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.

Ability to think strategically and use independent judgement.

Good keyboard and MS application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills.

Must have a valid driver’s license; carry current insurance on personal vehicle when driven on Foundation business and be insurable to drive for Foundation business.

Must be able to lift at least 35 pounds.

Ability to travel (up to 50% of the time) throughout Illinois, including weekends.

Proficiency in Spanish is an asset.

Education:
Associates degree and/or 2 years of work experience in Social Work, Public Health, Community Health Work, or other closely related field, or a combination of related education and experience.

Reporting Relationship:
This position reports to the Senior KidneyMobile® Manager.
