Join us in Chicago’s Maggie Daley Park this May to celebrate the 27th Annual Life Time Chicago Half Marathon & 10k. Take in the vibrant neighborhoods, lakefront breezes, and breathtaking cityscapes from a unique vantage point and claim your HUGE finisher medal at the post-race festival. When you run on behalf of the NKFI, every mile you put behind, you will raise money for free health screenings, community programming, and cutting-edge research.

Event Location


The Life Time Chicago Half Marathon and 10K races start on Columbus Drive, south of Monroe St. Most of the course travels along Chicago’s Lakefront Trail, which provides a flat, fast, and incredibly scenic run.

The Life Time 10K This course will take you through the world-famous Grant Park, past the beautiful Museum Campus, and will turn around shortly after passing McCormick Place. From there, it’s a straight shot north along the Lakefront Trail and back to the finish fest for post-race festivities.

Transit, Driving, Parking


All participants and spectators are encouraged to use public transit. If you drive, allow time for heavy traffic and street closures due to the race.



Limited street parking is available along the Midway Plaisance. If you drive, plan to arrive early. The event is not responsible for those who drive and do not make the start of the race. Please pay attention to the NO PARKING zones near the race venue..




5:00am:  Gear check opens
5:30am:  Start corrals open for Half Marathon participants
6:45am:  Half Marathon Corrals close 
6:50am:  Opening Ceremony

7:00am:  Half Marathon starts 
7:15am:  Marathon start line closes 
7:45am:  10 K start
8:00am:  Finish Festival begins
9:00am:  Awards ceremony

11:30am: Course and Finish Line close

12:00pm: Gear Check closes
