2015 Professional Advisory Board Membership Enrollment

January 13, 2015
CHICAGO, IL

The Professional Advisory Board (PAB) of the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois (NKFI) was developed many years ago to assist and direct the foundation in the development of relevant and thought-provoking community, patient and professional education programs. We invite nephrologists, physicians, academics, and allied health professionals alike to join and be engaged in the Professional Advisory Board.

This year, the Executive Committee of the PAB aims to further expand PAB membership and better engage PAB members by sharing volunteer and professional development opportunities available through the NKFI or within the renal community. In addition, the committee is working to expand professional programming and networking opportunities available to its members by adding a new program during National Kidney Month in March 2016.

As a member of the 2015 NKFI PAB you will also receive the following benefits:

  • Your name will be listed on the NKFI's website as a member (with your permission)
  • You will have the opportunity to attend the 2015 Controversies in Nephrology Academic Debates (entry fee included in membership dues)
  • An opportunity to serve on active advisory committees focused  on Research and/or Patient and Professional Programs
  • Receive regular e-updates regarding NKFI programming and opportunities to volunteer or attend upcoming professional development programs

Membership for the 2015 PAB is $150.00 and this year we will continue to offer free membership to all fellows, medical residents and students. To become a member of the 2015 NKFI PAB please click here to register and pay securely online. Please encourage interested colleagues to join by forwarding this email.

We currently also have two vacancies on the Professional Advisory Board Executive Committee. Joining the PAB Executive Committee provides you the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and guide the direction of NKFI programs and initiatives, which in turn has a direct impact on the lives of those at-risk for or living with kidney disease in Illinois. If interested, please contact Mara Lidacis at mlidacis@nkfi.org.

I hope you will choose to play an active role in the NKFI by becoming a member of the 2015 Professional Advisory Board. Together we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by kidney disease.

Sincerely,

Tipu Puri, MD, PhD
Chairman, NKFI Professional Advisory Board
