Kidney Patient Educator (KPE)Licensed nurses and social workers who have more than five years of nephrology experience, providing information in all aspects of treatment modalities, and have a passion for the well-being of patients. Where available, this team of professionals host monthly group educational classes, as well as provide one-on-one consulting services with patients, and their families.

Nephrology Nurse EducatorProvides education to Ortho Biotech customers and to the nephrology community including doctors, nurses, allied healthcare professionals and patients in managing chronic kidney disease (CKD) and its complications.

Case ManagerInitiates patient intervention and education prior to a patient starting dialysis to ease their transition. Acts as a liaison between the inpatient setting and the outpatient clinic. Interacts with the hospital discharge planner, nephrologist, and dialysis staff to help improve outcomes for the new dialysis patient. Provides education to CKD patients on a one-to-one basis in the physician's office.
