Topic 19Social Security/Ticket to Work and Self-Sufficiency

The Ticket to Work and Self-Sufficiency Program, referred to as the "Ticket Program" is part of the Social Security program. Maximus, Inc. is a private company that is working with Social Security to manage the program.

The goal of this program is to help you earn enough money so that you will not need Social Security cash benefits.

This program is for people who receive Social Security Disability Insurance benefits, Supplemental Security Disability Insurance benefits and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits because of disability or blindness.

Provides:

Employment services, vocational services or other services to help you go to work or to earn more money. These services are provided by employment networks which are private organizations or government agencies that have agreed to work with Social Security by providing employment services to beneficiaries with disabilities.
