Protection and Advocacy system programs were created to serve the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) beneficiaries who want to work, despite their disabilities.
These services are free to persons receiving social security or supplemental security income benefits based on disability or blindness.
Provides:
Information and advice about vocational rehabilitation and employment services.
Checks out any complaint you have against an employer network or other service provider that is helping you return to work.
Provides consultation and legal representation to protect your rights in the effort to secure or regain employment.
Informs you about Social Security's work incentives that will help you return to work.
Helps you with problems concerning your individual work plan under the "Ticket to Work" program.
