Renal dietitians have specialized degrees
in dietetics and must meet certain education requirements to be registered
dietitians (RDs). They work with people who have kidney disease and kidney
failure. Renal Dietitians are qualified to provide comprehensive nutritional
assessments and education to help address nutrition problems. As part of
the healthcare team, they can help those individuals with diabetes or kidney
disease choose the types of foods that will help delay and/or treat their
illness.
