Body Weight becomes very important once you have been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. A sudden weight gain may indicate you are retaining fluid and are not at your "dry" weight. Dry weight refers to the body's weight including the necessary fluid, tissue, bone and fat. Any additional weight is considered "fluid weight" and can be dangerous to your heart function.
