CHAPTER 1:Risk Factors and Diseases Causing Chronic Kidney Disease
Topic 1Chronic Kidney Disease
Chronic Kidney Disease is a progressive condition where a slow destruction of normal kidney function occurs over months or even years. Permanent kidney failure can result if not detected or treated early. Chronic kidney disease can be detected through blood tests and a urinalysis. Treatments are available that may help avoid or perhaps, delay dialysis.
