Kidney Cars
The National Kidney Foundation's Kidney Cars Program is a charitable contribution plan that enables you to turn in your used car, van, truck or even boat and very likely receive two benefits you won't get from a regular dealer trade-in. You'll get a good feeling from helping others who rely on the NKFI for education and services and, you may even get a tax-deduction. Make an Online Gift
Make a donation in your own name, in memory of someone special, or to commemorate a holiday, birthday, wedding, or other special occasion. Your gift will initially be made through the National Kidney Foundation online program and then forwarded to the NKFI to process. However, your gift will support the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois.
Year End Appeal
The National Kidney Foundation of Illinois knows that the epidemics of high blood pressure, diabetes, kidney disease and obesity can be prevented and we're proud to be the leader of the prevention, early detection and treatment charge in Illinois. More than 9,000 people have been screened through the NKFI's mobile screeing program, the KidneyMobile, in less than two years. What's most frightening is that nearly 11% of those screened had protein in their urine, an early indicator of kidney disease. And more than 70% of people were learning they had a problem for the first time from the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois.
The National Kidney Foundation of Illinois spends more than 91 cents of every $1 raised on our programs, like free early detection screenings, educational days for physicians, care givers and patients, and organ donor awareness. These funds also allow children with kidney disease, on diaylsis or those who have had a transplant to enjoy a week of traditional summer camp every year. But we can't do it without your support.
