Please join us at Living with Kidney Disease! This event is a day-long educational seminar for people at risk for or living with chronic kidney disease, transplant candidates, kidney recipients, donors, caregivers and family members.  Guests have the opportunity to:

  • Meet and learn from other patients and families
  • Network with professionals from the nephrology field
  • Receive important information from experts about medications, insurance, diet, treatment options and more

In addition to the valuable educational workshops and speakers, participants will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with an In-Person Counselor and receive assistance with enrollment in a health insurance plan that meets their needs before the March 31 deadline. Appointments will be on a first come first serve basis: six In-Person Counselors will be available between 7 am – 1 pm. Participants can come with questions and if they are interested in receiving enrollment assistance, they should be prepared with the following information/documents: social security number, employer and income information, and tax information. To learn more about In-Person Counselors and health insurance options, click here.

Click here to register for this event online. Registration is $10 per person, which covers parking, breakfast, lunch and all program materials. Raffle tickets are also available for $1 each. Additional donations to the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois are welcome to help cover additional program expenses.
